Hints & Advanced Search BACKLooking for something else? SEARCH for ITEM in upper right

|
|
Finding something on the web or on one of the sites we list for you can difficult. Finding that something on all three, well ... Yet, there are several ways we can help.
| | 1. Refresh The Page (and maybe look in a different Amazon® store) |
The results that you received after entering an item name are dependent on what recommendations the external sites have for you. These recommendations may change simply by refreshing the page. Press the "refresh" button that is located just above the Amazon® products box, in the center of the previous page. For Amazon® Products: You may want to select a different store in which the recommended products are displayed. |
| | 2. Follow Quick Links |
There are 3 Quick Links on the page which will take you to areas of each external site with information specific to the item you selected. Each site will display more results than we can. |
| | 3. Search Boxes |
Each external site can be searched from our page. The searches for Amazon® and eBay® are in the left column. (There is another search of eBay® in the banner at the top of their results list, with the item name already entered for you.) The search for Google™ is in the right column (at the top) or here.
|
| | 4. Try A Category Search on FIND ANY ITEM™ |
Narrow your search by looking for your item in one of our Categories. Is your item a Book, Camera (or accessory), CD (music), Computer (or component), DVD (movie), MP3 Player, Software, Toy, or Videogame?.
|
| | 5. Try Variations On The Item Name |
Spelling: Also try an alternate spelling. ("crocs" instead of "crocks")
Be more specific: Try a more specific item name. ("cats broadway" instead of just "cats").
Alternative (shorter names): Perhaps the item name is too long to be found. Below the eBay listings, we display a shorter set of words that make up your item name with links to search..
|
| | 6. Look At Our Pre-defined / Related Items |
| We have a very large number of pre-defined items with representative keywords. You may find better results if you use one of our variations. We have a much smaller partial list of frequently searched items on our home page. |
| | 7. *** Hints |
eBay® searches are only as good as the original seller's listing of items. The search box that is in the banner at the top of the their results (middle of the pages, typically) can offer some very good results. Or, if you visit the "EBAY QUICK LINK" then you will see a semi-private, custom "landing page" that displays a variety of links. Amazon® product recommendations are based largely on the selected store and how specific the item name, that you have entered, is listed. Google™ links are advertisements placed by their customers and are most relevant after you refresh the page or when you use a pre-defined or advanced search. (That's just how Google does it.) |

If the Google ads don't seem to be appropriate, try the "refresh" button above the Amazon box in the top center of the page.
